Cookie Policy
This page explains what we store on your device. It’s short because we keep it to the minimum.
Effective: [Effective date]
The short version
- We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, or third-party trackers.
- Our only cookie keeps you signed in, so we don’t need to show you a consent banner.
- If that ever changes, we’ll ask for your consent first.
This summary is here to help you. The full text below is what applies.
How we protect your data
- Encrypted storage
- Images, usernames and email addresses are encrypted whenever they are stored. Passwords are kept only as salted hashes, so nobody can read them, including our founder and developers.
- No routine staff access
- Our founder, developers and staff don’t browse your images or account details. Access happens only when needed to act on a report of illegal content, comply with a legal order or fix a security problem, and each access is logged. Anyone with an image’s link can view it, and usernames are shown publicly.
- IP addresses, only to protect the service
- We hold your IP address and approximate location, worked out from that IP address, to protect our systems from flooding and similar attacks. They are erased as soon as you log out or your visit ends, meaning [30 minutes] without activity. We keep them longer only if they are linked to an attack, a report of illegal content or a legal order.
01What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, let a website save small pieces of information on your device. EU and UK rules require consent for them unless they are strictly necessary for a service you asked for.
02What we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in and protects your account, only after you log in | Strictly necessary, first-party | Until you log out or the session ends |
03What we don’t use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Analytics cookies or fingerprinting
- Social media pixels or embedded trackers
- Third-party fonts or images on our pages: fonts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn’t send your data to those third parties
04Your choices
Because our cookie is strictly necessary, it doesn’t need consent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but you won’t be able to stay signed in without it. You can still view images.
05If this changes
Before adding anything non-essential, we’ll update this page and ask for your consent, with options to accept and reject that are equally easy to use, and a way to change your mind later. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data generally, or write to privacy@givenchy.baby.
